The first lesson of Ideological and Political Education in 2021 has started!

Recently, the head teachers of the Business School delivered the first ideological and political lesson for students in a rich way, including seminars, watching short videos, fun games, and Q&A session.

In terms of learning the spirit of hard work, the students in Class 4 of International Business watched the classic old film " Roaring Across the Horizon ". The film told the story of the older generation of soldiers and scientists overcoming difficulties in the northwestern desert and finally successfully completing the first atomic bomb experiment of China. After that,  students realized the happy life nowadays was the result of the hard work of the predecessors; some students learned that teamwork is an essential factor for success and talents are important for national development.

Class 4 of International Business held a seminar on the theme of friendliness and honesty. Honesty is a moral quality, and it is the responsibility of every citizen. As a college student, it is important to keep promises. An interesting game ”Value Bidding” was played in the class.

In order to strengthen students’ mental health, Lin Juntong shared a psychological short film "The Power of Empathy"  and recommended a book called "Empathy power". Afterwards, the students played a game: Exploring advantages. In this lesson, the students not only deeply understood the meaning of integrity, but also enhanced the friendship among fellows.

In addition to shaping the inner spiritual quality, understanding the external environment is also an indispensable part of the students' growth.

Dr. Chen Qian delivered the lesson "Shenzhen, the City of Innovation" for Class 3 of International Business. She hoped that everyone can learn from Shenzhen's development and always keep in mind of the original aspiration, try bravely, never stop moving forward.

Also, students are interested in the international environment. So Dr. Ding introduced the topic "China-US High-level Strategic Dialogue" to the students. This topic helped students better understand the relationship between China and the US and the world situation. At the same time, Dr. Ding interacted with the students on employment, postgraduate entrance examination and other issues in class.

Studying is the first priority at the university, which can lay a solid foundation for future career development. In this regard, Dr. Wang shared his expectations for the students, hoping that the students can be positive, self-disciplined, grateful, and help each other. He also gave targeted suggestions to the students and help them to adjust their learning status, learning methods and attitude.

University is an important period when students can develop healthy personality, positive thinking, active actions, and long-term vision. Therefore, the first lesson of Ideological and Political provided practical guidance for students.
