Business School Students Attended SZTU High Table Dinner for Freshmen 2020

From November 24 to 25, Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) High Table Dinner for Freshmen 2020 was successfully held. The banquet was attended by Prof. Ruan Shuangchen, President of SZTU; Prof. Xu Gang, Vice President of SZTU; Prof. Liu Qingxia, Fellow of Canadian Academy of Engineering and Distinguished Professor of SZTU; Mr. Zheng Shaowei, Chairman of Shenzhen Strength Group; Prof. Holger Haldenwang, Dean of Business School; and Prof. Franz Raps, Dean of College of Urban Transportation and Logistics. A number of heads, professors and teachers from different colleges and departments and more than 500 freshmen of SZTU gathered in the grand occasion.



As one of the characteristics of Shenzhen Technology University, High Table Dinner is a unique cultural event for students’ quality development. The event opens the door for students to understand western etiquette, broaden the vision, increase knowledge, and cultivate social skills.

Prof. Holger Haldenwang, Dean of Business School, and Cheah Chee Wei, Associate Professor of Business School, were invited to participate in the event together with 38 Business School freshmen.



Before the dinner, Prof. Ruan Shuangchen, Mr. Zheng Shaowei, Prof. Holger Haldenwang and Prof. Franz Raps delivered welcome speeches to all the guests and teachers and students. The students really got a lot of enlightenment from the speeches. Then, the dinner began with wonderful opening performance.

The night brought to us by this High Table Dinner is destined to be an unforgettable night in our university life and even in our whole life. In such a well-designed venue for us, it seems that we become mature in a moment with formal dress. As the Dean said, from the moment we were enrolled, the university regarded us as independent adults. This special event tonight brought us not only the knowledge of banquet etiquette, but also a grand ceremony for our whole life. The future belongs to us, but only through continuous efforts and struggle can we truly grasp the future.

Every moment together with Business School members is full of happiness. Getting along with each other for more than two months let us know and understand each other. We are very glad to be able to have dinner together with the Dean, professors, teachers and students. We know that every day in Business School will be as warm as home!
