On June 22, 2021, the Business School of Shenzhen Technology University invited Wang Xue, a well-known transportation expert, to give a lecture on "International Ports and Shipping from the Perspective of Global Ocean Center City Construction". Wang Xue is a member of the Shenzhen Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and the vice president of the Shenzhen Women Entrepreneurs Association. As a transportation expert, she has long been committed to promoting transportation progress. She has many research results in the fields of transportation policy, green transportation, smart transportation, ports and shipping. It was adopted and implemented by the government. This lecture was hosted by Associate Professor Wang Yunxia.

The Guest Speaker Ms. Wang Xue

In the lecture, Wang Xue introduced the historical evolution of international port shipping and the 40-year situation of Shenzhen port shipping in a simple way. She also put forward her thoughts on the new round of development strategy of Shenzhen port shipping industry from the perspective of building a global ocean center city. During the lecture, Wang Xue talked about the international market from Yantian Port, talked about the international trade from the Suez Canal, talked about the global ocean city from international trade, talked about the growth path of business compound talents from shipping finance... She thinks the history of global ports and shipping is the history of world economy. Many of her views aroused enthusiastic responses among the students, and the students present expressed that they benefited a lot.
