On November 17, 2021, a delegation from Shenzhen Technology University was invited to visit Techtronic Industries Company Limited (the “TTI”) - Techtronic Industries (Dongguan) Co.,Ltd (hereinafter referred to as TTi) in Houjie Science and Technology Industrial City, Dongguan. The visiting members of this trip are: Dean of Business School Holger Haldenwang, Executive Dean of Quality and Standards Academy Huang Manxue, Vice Dean of Sino-German College of Intelligent Manufacturing Yang Can, Business School Professor Gordana Kierans, and Business School Secretary Liang Minyi.
TTi is one of the world-class suppliers of high-end home tools and construction tools. It mainly designs, produces and sells power tools, outdoor gardening tools and other products. Its brands include Milwaukee, AEG and Ryobi power tools and accessories, Ryobi and Homelite outdoor gardening tools, as well as Hoover, Dirt Devil and Vax floor care products, its product market share ranks among the forefront of global power tool companies, and has won the title of National Transformation and Upgrade Enterprise in China.
Led by Maurizio Perino, Assistant Manager of TTi, the Shenzhen Technology University and his party first visited the TTi R&D workshop and experienced the application of 3D printing technology in the future production of TTi. Then the delegation visited TTi's production workshop and learned about TTi's innovative craftsmanship and precision technology in detail.
During the discussion, Maurizio Perino, Assistant Manager of TTi, introduced the company profile of TTi. Then, Dean of Business School Holger Haldenwang introduced the profile of Shenzhen Technology University to representatives of various departments of TTi. It also expressed that as an applied technology university, SZTU attaches importance to student internship training and the necessity of school-enterprise cooperation, and Holger Haldenwang has learned about TTi’s student competition organization, scholarship establishment and employment needs with the human resources department, and explores the future possibility of cooperation. At the meeting, Business School Professor Gordana Kierans, who is also the Director of the Circular Economy Research Center, conducted an in-depth discussion on circular economy with the sustainable development team of TTi. TTi has invested a dedicated team in saving water, reducing packaging materials, providing sustainable products and maintaining biodiversity, and has achieved remarkable results.
After the meeting, Shenzhen Technology University delegation took a photo with TTi's multi-departmental enterprise representatives, looking forward to the in-depth cooperation in the future.
