On 1st June, Business School held two seminars in Room 102 Teaching Building C-5 titled “Practical Methodology of Business Negotiation” and “Enterprise project management under agile thinking”,aiming to enhance students' practical experience.The activity was hosted by Dr. Zhuoqi Ding, the Assistant Professor.
Addressing the event, Assistant Prof. Zhuoqi Ding analyzed the meaning behind the subjects of lectures, she encouraged the students to actively participate in class interaction.
The two guest speakers are: Tiantian Yang, the founder and CEO of E-whale Internet Technology Company Ltd. and Xin Jin, the General Manager of E-whale Internet Technology Company Ltd.
The first seminar was given by Ms. Tiantian Yang based on her own practical experience. She presented " Practical Methodology of Business Negotiation". At the beginning of the course, Ms. Yang raised several questions: What is business negotiation? Why business negotiations is important? What is the endgame of the negotiations? She invited students to share their own experiences, and then cited 5 classic business negotiation cases from the aspects of negotiation empathy, the use of time tactics, the psychology of negotiation, the skills of turning back the defeat to win, etc., leading to the specific content of this senimar.
Ms. Yang quickly shared the overview of business negotiation (principles, elements, goals), and put forward her own view: business negotiation is a kind of investment, very important criteria of interpersonal communication and business activities: win-win.

Finally, combined with the cases shared above, she summarized the practical psychology in business negotiations, the skills to improve the expression ability in business negotiations, the time war in business negotiations, the opponent analysis and coping strategies in business negotiations, the concession skills in business negotiations, etc., and summed up a set of b methodology system.
The second seminar was "Enterprise Project Management under Agile Thinking" presented byMr. Xin Jin, the Agile coach. In order to make project management theory more vivid and convenient for students to understand, Mr. Jin carefully prepared practical props such as interactive games, agile poker and Kanban cards before the class. In the whole course, Mr. Jin designed three interactive games, in which more than a dozen students participated , helping the students to feel the concept, spirit and value of agile thinking.

Mr. Jin shared the problems in traditional project management, introduced the basic principles of agile thinking, the characteristics, framework and team of Scrum, and then briefly shared the implementation elements of agile thinking: User Stories, Estimations, and Kanban.

At the end of the Q&A session, the students' active questions based on their own majors brought the event to a successful end.
