On April 20-21, Business School admissions team，including Assistant Prof. Zhang Jinyi, Assistant Prof. Chen Leqin, Executive Secretary Ms Li Xueqi and Secretary Ms Liang Minyi successively visited 5 key high schools located in Zhongshan and Zhuhai, including No.1 Middle School Of Zhongshan, Zhongshan Overseas Chinese Secondary School, Beijing Normal University (Zhuhai) Affiliated High School, Zhuhai No.1 High School and Zhuhai No.2 High School. The admissions team had meetings with these high school leaders like the principal, reigstry directors and senior year teachers.
The admissions team delivered presentations on the related topics of SZTU’s development history, education mode, colleges and major setting as well as the latest admissions situation and performance. Also, the team delivered a briefing about the Business School and its undergraduate major International Business in terms of major specialties and career prospects were included.
During the meetings, the team and high school teachers exchanged views in-depth about the university cultivation mode, admissions promotion, and the latest college entrance exams. High school teachers asked some problem that students and parents might concern about, like the scores of last year, tuition fees, exchange programs and they got satisfied answers from the team.
The high school officials approbated SZTU’s education mode and admissions work, especially showing a strong interest in the program setting of the applied technology university that connect closely to the job market. Also, they said that programs from SZTU are attracted to students, which is beneficial for their long-term career development and are worthy of publicity. They will strongly support the admissions work, so that students can fully understand SZTU and they showed a strong willingness to recommend SZTU to their students.
Finally, the high school officials expressed strong expectations and confidence for the development potential of SZTU.
This trip has let the teachers and students learn more about SZTU, a young and dynamic applied university, and the team have established friendly relations with them, which will be beneficial for attracting more high-quality students to join SZTU.
