On July 12 German local time, Holger Haldenwang who is the Dean of Business School of Shenzhen Technology University, was invited to participate in the 2009 Shenzhen (Pingshan) - Munich Intelligent Manufacturing Industry Cooperation Exchange which was sponsored by the Pingshan District Government of Shenzhen.
The District of Pingshan was established in January 2017 and is the core for Shenzhen to implement"Go East Strategy".That is the reason why a delegation of about 10 persons with the leader Mr. Yongxin Tao, Deputy secretary of CPC and District Mayor of Pingshan and other members of CPC as well as some representatives of companies participtated in this conference to convince German espacially Bavarian companies to come to Pingshan.
From the Bavarian side Mr. Markus Eder, head of the department China, Near and Middle East and Turkey from the Bavarian State Ministry for Economy pointed out that the economic relation between China and Bavaria are high levelled and very important and it is indispensable to work together in an open and friendly atmosphere. Mr. Yonggui Pei, Consul from the Chinese general consultant in Munich underlined in his welcome address the enormous possibilites both regions offer.
Later on, several speakers like Dr. Meng Li, Dr. Zhihan Wang and others described in their contributions the increasing economy development and the innovative chances of cooperation with several companies like Bronze Technologies Ltd, Basic Semiconductor Ltd, Delux Ltd, Appotronics Ltd and others. All these companies have already a lot of German customers like Robert Bosch, BMW, Semikron et al.
Pingshan is the center of biological industry base,the national new energy (automobile) industrial base and the new industrialization demonstration base. The Pingshan Hi-Tech Zone is one of the two core parks of Shenzhen National High-tech Zone to provide strong support for creating "Nanshan in the West, Pingshan in the East" innovation and development pattern.
To foster this development,the Shenzhen Technology Unversity with 10 technical and business colleges with almost 2000 students (September 2019) is established and offers a lot of future highly qualified engineers and business men for this region. Already now the students are interested in working during internships in the companies around and are willing to join together with the professors to cooperate in any kind of projects. These last topics have been given by Prof. Dr. Holger Haldenwang within his speech and the added discussion with a lot of guests.
He mentioned the necessity of internationalistion and remarked for example the 12 summer schools happened and the international week as well as the exchange programs and common research projects in laboratories. Also Mr.Tao pointed out the Laboratory of beer brewery could be considered as a wonderful story of success.
