The first overseas office of Shenzhen Technology University was unveiled in Regensburg, Germany

On the afternoon of January 16th, German local time, the German International Cooperation Office of SZTU, was formally established in Regensburg. Det Dharminger, the deputy mayor of the city of Regensburg who is in charge of economics, technology and finance, Tony Lauten Schlegel, the director of the Municipal Economic Promotion Agency, and Alexander Ruprecht,the general manager of TechBase, Regens Wolfgang Bayer, the president of Fort Applied Technology University, and Ruan Shuangchen, the head of Shenzhen Technology University, with other guests and representatives from Regensburg and SZTU attended and witnessed the unveiling ceremony. The unveiling ceremony adopted the traditional German model. The two sides announced the establishment of the German office by means of key handover and ribbon-cutting. The office was established by the Shenzhen Technology University in cooperation with the Techbase Innovation Industry Center under Regensburg Economic Promotion Agency. Techbase Regensburg is an innovative business incubator center affiliated with R-Tech. R-Tech is an innovative enterprise service company established by the Regensburg City Government for promoting the innovation and development of regional enterprises. As the first overseas office of SZTU, its main task is to promote exchanges and cooperation between SZTU and universities, research institutions and enterprises in Germany, promote the implementation of the school's internationalization strategy, expand cooperation projects, and provide support for overseas exchange visits.

The Deputy Mayor of Regensburg, Dieter Daminger, expressed his warm welcome on behalf of the Regensburg Municipal Government and the Ministry of Economics, Finance and Research to the delegation of the SZTU Delegation and congratulated the establishment of the German office of SZTU. He said that Regensburg is very supportive of the opening office of SZTU at Techbase, and hopes that the two sides will carry out more and deeper cooperation on this basis.

Tony Lautenschler emphasized the importance of SZTU as a partner of TechBase. He believes that the establishment of the office of SZTU in Regensburg will certainly further deepen and broaden the cooperation process between the two sides.

Ruan Shuangchen,the head of SZTU, said that Shenzhen Technology University has signed a memorandum of cooperation with 36 foreign universities and institutions. As the first overseas exchange and cooperation office established by SZTU, it has a milestone significance,which marks the great success of SZTU's internationalization strategy and lays the foundation for the next internationalization work. He believes that with the support of the Regensburg government and society, the German office of SZTU will certainly play the role of a good communication center, set up a bridge of mutual trust for the cooperation.

After the ceremony, the guests visited the office together. The guests believe that this office can not only expand the influence of Shenzhen Technology Universityin Germany, but also recommend and introduce the great achievements of Shenzhen and Pingshan Districts as a high-quality platform. It will definitely attract more talents and resources to Shenzhen and SZTU.

The local media, Mittelbayerische, reported the event in the headlines, arguing that the establishment of this officewould be a perfect cooperation between SZTU and the universities in Regensburg.The office will be an important venue for exchanges and interactions between Regensburg(with 145,000 people)and Shenzhen(with a population of 14 million).
