Dean Professor Holger Haldenwang Met with the Head of ACCA Mainland China

June 21st,2022, Dean Professor Holger Haldenwang met with guests from ACCA led by their Head of Mainland China Mr. Xiangtian Yu. Vice dean Professor Walter Li also participated the meeting in conference room 1502 of Business School.

ACCA, headquartered at Glasgow, UK, is the largest professional accounting organization, having over 233,000 members and 536,000 registered students. ACCA qualification is recognized by governments, large organizations and institutes, for example, Futian District, Nanshan District, and LuoHu District of Shenzhen give talent subsidy to ACCA qualification holders. ACCA also maintains close cooperation with education institutes, enterprises and industry pioneers, for instance, the ACCA classes with Xi’an Communication University and Shanghai University of Finance and Economics have been in operation for more than 20 years.

Dean Holger Haldenwang introduces to the guests the characteristics, faculty, bachelor programs, corporation collaboration and internship of business school, especially the applied science model, two new majors including financial management and marketing and our teaching in English. Both parties find chemistry in terms of each other’s feature and culture and agree on good future cooperation, such as ACCA major direction or ACCA class. At last, Mr. Yu gifted their organizational badge to Professor Haldenwang and both sides agree on further discussion of joint programs.
